Natural and Built Environments Bill draft released

The “exposure draft” of the Natural and Built Environments Bill has been released by the Government for consultation. This is the first of 3 pieces of legislation to replace the Resource Management Act.

The Tree Council is currently working on a submission guide to help you make detailed submissions to support the protection of urban trees. It is important that we lobby for something that will be effective and practical to implement. So please bear with us over the next week or so while we get this developed. We will let you know as soon as it is online in plenty of time for you to make your submissions in support of this vitally important change. The deadline for submissions is midnight on 4 Aug.
